The convexity is an exercise to create a form that is visually interesting from all angles without relying on heavy undercuts or through cuts. In order to achieve this, I focused on continuous, wrapping surfaces with clearly defined edges. The relatively flat surfaces act as visual chamfers, in contrast to the rounder areas in between. I relied on the severity of my curves to control the speed of the form’s overall gesture.
